Mayur Resources is developing an industrial minerals, copper gold and power generation platform in Papua New Guinea (PNG) that will contribute to nation-building and job creation for PNG and its people. Mayur is structured into three asset divisions as follows: Industrial Minerals Mayur’s industrial minerals portfolio includes fine grain construction sands, magnetite, limestone zircon and other valuable heavy minerals, which is favourably located in close proximity to the coast and river networks in southern Papua New Guinea. Copper and Gold PNG is regarded as one of the world’s most prolific regions for the discovery of world class copper and gold projects. Mayur’s projects are located in the well-known discovery belts of the Owen Stanley fold belt and the Lihir volcanic arc adjacent to some of the region’s largest gold and copper projects and are strategically positioned in coastal / island locations or near road access. Power Generation Mayur’s power generation platform involves the development of new multi fuel power generation facilities that will deliver much-needed cleaner, reliable and affordable power for PNG. These will be delivered as part of Mayur’s Enviro Energy Park (EEP) concept which will utilise traditional and renewable fuel sources (including domestically sourced coal), with the first project planned for PNG’s major industrial hub and port city of Lae. In the longer term, the company’s vision includes development of domestic coal and magnetite iron ore deposits, into a vertically integrated iron and steel industry for Papua New Guinea.
