The Cass County Emergency Management Agency is a county agency authorized by county resolution, and affirmed by city ordinances, county-city inter-local agreement and state statues. The CCEMA is responsible for the planning, preparation and implementation of emergency functions required to prevent injury and minimize and repair damage due to disasters. It manages resources in emergency situations and administers economic controls as may be needed to provide for the welfare of the people and emergency activities (excluding functions for which military forces are primarily responsible).
