The David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)3 non profit organization established in 1991. Nine scholarships have been given annually to deserving high school students entering an accredited college/university in the United States. The DDWSF was established as a legacy and tribute to honor David R. Wilson (1915-1985) and his wife Dovetta Wilson (1923-1995) who empowered their nine children to pursue academic achievements and become benevolent professionals giving back to their community. This was in direct response to the lack of educational opportunity in our nation for all Americans. The David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund is committed in investing in future leaders by breaking down barriers to academic excellence. Through scholarships, mentoring, leadership development, supportive partners and financial contributors, the DDWSF lives out the dream of David and Dovetta Wilson.
