Camp Scugog has offered incredible programming to children, youth and mothers affected by poverty since 1931. Most campers live within the GTA, and have endured some form of abuse, neglect, poverty and/or social isolation. In 2019, over 60% of our campers were encouraged to attend through Children’s Aid Societies, shelters, school boards, and community centres. We offer five sessions in total; one exclusively for teens, aged 12-16; two for kids aged 8-12; and two for moms and their kids aged 0-16. We also offer a two-summer leadership program for youth aged 15-17 that focuses heavily on building leadership skills through physical activity and sport.
