It originated in 2002 from an idea of Giorgio Marinoni, textile designer in Biella (Italy), as a connection means between the publications of fashion trends and textile counselling. On the world panorama of textiles for clothing, the cloth designer and the publisher of “trend books” have always been two separate and disconnected figures. In just a few cases textile designers have ventured for a short time into the publication of books of fashion trends and the companies that made these books availed themselves in isolated cases of the cooperation of designers to improve the offer of their product. To face the present requirements of a market asking for an always higher specialization, concreteness and professionalism, it is today of basic and strategic importance to connect these two compartments. Biella Textile Trends wants to be a complete support for the makers of fabrics for clothing by offering a variety of services ranging from publishing books of fashion trends with samples of strictly exclusive cloth up to the planning and personalized designing of the collections.
