The American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc.© (AAPS) was founded to fill a professional need among physicians practicing in medical specialties. Distinct from other medical societies, the AAPS accepts qualified physicians into membership who have either an allopathic (M.D.) or osteopathic (D.O.) degree. Founded in 1950 by Doctor E.O. Martin and incorporated in 1952, AAPS has continued to expand its services and benefits to member physicians based on the changing needs of modern health care.
