Established in 1951 and based in Cape Town, AJAX Manufacturing started as a small foundry doing aluminium gravity castings, and was one of the first aluminium foundries in the Western Cape. After expanding its business and working for many years for industrial leaders such as General Electric, AJAX Manufacturing joined the Sicame Group in 2010, an international leader in electrical transport networks. In 2012, AJAX Manufacturing went into partnership with WRP Tooling, a Swiss owned plastic injection and toolmaker company established in 1996 also based in Cape Town, which became the plastic division of the company. Their toolroom merged with that of Ajax Manufacturing and took advantage of the Swiss toolmakers precision. The Ajax company do Aluminium High Pressure die casting, Aluminium Gravity casting, Plastic injection moulding, CNC machining and pressings. All support functions is available to support this activity, Design and development of product, rapid proto typing (3D Printing) tool design and a tool room. The company do rapid tooling for small production runs.
