Recluse is a company that’s determined to bring innovation to the drone industry through new hardware and software, with the goal to aid disaster and recovery efforts around the world. We are designing a UAV that has the capability to run a mobile cell tower. These drones will be designed to fly over disaster sites and gain quick information by picking up mobile phones signals from the ground and tracking their approximate location. This allows disaster and recovery teams to quickly see a minimum number of recovery targets and locations. It also enables recovery teams to see how many people are in certain areas, so teams can be optimized to rescue as many people as possible and prepare the recovery efforts accordingly. These drones are designed with full automation in mind, so recovery teams will spend little time getting the aircraft airborne, and more time using the information it can provide. The aircraft will be able to take off and land without any user intervention, autonomously fly over the designated recovery site multiple times until the images and data have been collected. The aircraft is managed from one application, where it can be configured, launched and controlled from a laptop or mobile phone.
