Veritas Maritime Training Center, Inc., (VERITAS), formerly known as Epsilon Maritime Training Center, was established in January 2012.. The company is engaged in providing training to Filipino shipboard personnel on seagoing vessels. It showcases the unique synergy of European and Filipino shipping experience and resources. Vision VERITAS is aspiring to become a leading Maritime Training Institute offering Quality services and innovations, using the latest technology in training for a globally competitive marine crew in accordance with the maritime industry needs and requirements. VERITAS is equipped with spaces that encourage inter-active discovery and learning on the Bridge Simulator, Engine Room Simulator, ECDIS and Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator which resemble actual conditions on-board. The ECDIS courses were reviewed and approved by the LIBERIAN REGISTRY with a validity of five (5) years. The company has acquired accreditation from TRANSAS and JRC in order to offer ECDIS Type Specific training in the Philippines. More recently, VERITAS reached an agreement with FURUNO and will commence to offer FURUNO ECDIS Type Specific training from November 2012. These breakthroughs have rendered VERITAS one of the few Training Centers worldwide that offer TRANSAS, JRC and FURUNO ECDIS Specific programs at the same time.
