In short This foundation was first of all raised in order to help children in India to finish any kind of higher education. The children this foundation is helping at the moment all finished secondary school at schools of partnerorganisation Sevai Society. Everything Stichting Onderwijs voor India does is for educational purposes. Stichting Onderwijs voor India does not have employees, only a voluntary board of 3 members. How it all began The Foundation Education for India was founded by Nelle Kooren when she, after graduating from secondary school, spent several months doing volunteer work at the Hallelujah Children Home by Sevai Society in Madurai , India. Our partner organisations are Indian organisations. They know the country and its customs and are always on the spot. They know where help is required most and are in a position to overview and control the projects. This way they can make sure that our help will be given to the children and youth who really need it. Mission statement The foundations' mission is to contribute as much as possible to the removal of poverty in India. We aim to achieve this by helping children and youth to develop themselves emotionally, intellectually and physically. We therefore focus on education and millennium-goal 2.
