Since transitioning from the NHS in 2011, we have grown by 167%. Our vision is to be a leading provider of community dental services and we have a clear social mission to improve oral health in evermore communities. Our patients are some of the most vulnerable in society; including people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and severe dental anxiety, referred into our services by GDPs and other health and social care professionals. We treat over 62,000 patients a year in our clinics, our mobile clinics and through our prison contracts. We pride ourselves on the quality of patient care we offer. We have clinics in Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Essex, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. CDS operates out of hours and domiciliary dental care contracts. We deliver evidence based oral health improvement programmes to improve the oral health of vulnerable people. We are dentally led with a focus on providing first class dental care, and the Chair of our Board is a former Deputy Chief Dental Officer for England. As a social enterprise, we have well defined values. Any surplus we make is re-invested back into patient care and into our local communities through our charity, CDS Action. CDS is 100% employee owned. Employee elected directors sit on our Board and all employees share collective responsibility and accountability for the performance of the business and the care we provide for our patients.
