K2 International is a specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriting platform – the London-based arm of K2 Insurance Services, a leading underwriting and distribution franchise in the US programme market with est. premium volume of USD 1.5bn in 2023 and majority owned by Lee Equity Partners, a New York based middle market private equity firm (in December 2022 it was announced that Warburg Pincus will become K2's principal shareholder with the deal expected to close in Q1 2023). K2 International’s established insurance and reinsurance books of business will collectively underwrite approx. USD 250m of premium in 2023, spanning the Property cat, Property D&F, and Financial Institutions sectors. Since 2011 K2 Insurance Services has been acquiring, developing and growing profitable insurance businesses. Having established a core group of specialty insurers and MGA/MGUs in the US, we are now also building our business in the UK through K2 International.
