Founded in 2020 by Manoj Reddy MD, the Integrative Oncology Working Group is an international, multi-disciplinary community of cancer care providers committed to advancing best practices in oncology care by combining conventional therapies with evidence-informed complimentary therapies. IOWG was initially started as an email and monthly small group of 5 to 10 integrative oncology physicians to network with like minded clinicians. With growing interest, the group is transforming into an international multi-disciplinary social network with monthly free educational seminars open to all health care professionals. Membership within IOWG is based on training/leadership in integrative medicine/integrative medicine related modalities, a strong interest/expertise in integrative oncology, and participation. Participation is defined as presenting a topic to other group members once over a 24 month period. There are no membership fees. Our diverse international membership consist of conventionally trained Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants with additional training/expertise/certification in integrative medicine/integrative oncology. Membership also includes Naturopathic Oncologists, Oncology trained Acupuncturists, and Psycho-Oncologists.
