Fairbanks Mill
www.fairbanksmill.comFairbanks Mill, LTD. is a general contractor based in St. Johnsbury, VT. We focus on complex multi-faceted projects in the industrial and commercial sectors. We are versatile, blending our varied skills with those of our talented and dedicated team of subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals. Our people are passionate about creating value for our clients, efficiently delivering quality projects, on time, and within budget. The fact that most of our work comes from existing clients speaks to the durability and trust inherent in those relationships. Our client list includes a virtual who’s who of New England utilities, many of Vermont’s premier manufacturers and institutions, and a wide variety of government agencies. Established by Robert Desrochers in 1979, Fairbanks Mill originated at the old Fairbanks Scales saw mill site on the Sleepers River in North Danville, VT. Although there was always a strong interest in water power, work opportunities were pursued in a wide variety of projects including concrete, sitework, carpentry, and landscape construction. Currently, Fairbanks Mill is headquartered in the former Fairbanks Scale factory, in St. Johnsbury. On September 7, 2018, the business was sold to Brandon Boudreau, of Bradford, Vermont. Brandon will carry Fairbanks Mill forward with the same quality and integrity that Bob built it on. Brandon worked for Fairbanks Mill a number of years ago, went on to work for Trans-Canada on the Connecticut River hydro stations, while also providing maintenance and repair services to several independent power producers in his spare time. Brandon has vast experience with the big turbines, while still maintaining a sensitivity to the special needs of the “mom & pop” operations. Services that Fairbanks Mill provides range from turbine overhauls and repairs, penstock replacements, and trash rake installations, to environmental improvements such as fish passages, minimum flow systems and canoe portages.
