VIEW The Vision of IPSAL is to be a non profit organization of experts in different disciplines with experience and professional commitment dedicated to improve life quality of the Latin American population under the One Health aproach (animal, human and environmental). MISSION The mission of IPSAL is supporting actions of advising with scientific assistance and training contributing to Agri-Food Satety in Latin America, linking experts in the research, transfer and training of the different links in the Agri-Food chain. To reach this objective , we consider appropriate to understanding the situation in an integral view of the 4 levels involved: The environment that encompasses, the soil, the air quality, ecosystems and the effectiveness of the actions leading to the production sustainability, we will propose novel actions and support those leading to reducing the deteriorating effects over Health of our planet. Food production: natural resources sustainability, respect for all type of life, processing, distribution, consumption and the ethical behavior of various actors, applied research. We also consider the necessary training, producing effectiveness, losses reduction, under the principles of circular and sustainable economy. The social components: the State as the central executor of the political system, the policies, laws and regulations, socio-cultural standards, related regulatory and social organizations, infrastructures, finances, work, knowledge services, forms of access to natural resources. The human being the recipient of a harmonious system that allows its development, respecting genetic and cultural differences, policies and actions for poverty reduction and food security, assessment of their nutrition and development.
