Historically, a variety of organizations have shared in the stewardship of Minneapolis Parks. This model keeps most individuals disengaged. Additionally, Minneapolis Parks are threatened by unstable and inadequate funding sources. LoveMplsParks was created to help engage citizens as park advocates, increase the use and recognition of park amenities, and give park visitors an opportunity to display their support. 50% of all profits are donated to support the community-driven projects and programs of People for Parks.
