The Kansas Legislative Research Department is one of four nonpartisan agencies that provide support services for the Kansas Legislature. KLRD has provided nonpartisan, objective research and fiscal analysis for the Kansas Legislature since 1934. Staff are assigned to standing and special legislative committees and provide policy and fiscal analysis for those committees and individual legislators.
