On October 27th, 2006, ICBC was simultaneously listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange. At the end of 2018, ICBC established 426 institutions in 47 countries and regions and indirectly covered 20 african countries as a shareholder of Standard Bank Group. ICBC established a presence in Belgium via its wholly-owned subsidiary bank in Luxembourg, ICBC (Europe) SA. In July 2010, ICBC got the approval from the CBFA (Commission Bancaire, Financiere et des Assurances) and was granted the license for providing commercial banking businesses, which marked the official entry of ICBC to Belgium. ICBC Brussels Branch officially started operations in January, 2011,aiming to serve as a bridge for economic cooperation and trade between China and Belgium. ICBC Brussels Branch aims to serve the Chinese companies in Belgium, overseas Chinese, Chinese customers with business ties or investment with Belgium, local Belgian companies, multinationals and financial institutions.
