Ostomy Halifax Society is a registered Canadian charity that seeks to achieve the highest quality of life for ostomates and their families in Nova Scotia. Our Mission We are a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to all people with an Ostomy and their families, helping them to live life to the fullest through support, education, collaboration and communications. Our Programs In pursuit of our mission we run a number of programs and activities for our community, including: +Hospital visitation - Our trained volunteers visit new ostomates in the hospital, pre or post surgery. +External visitation - Our visitors help ostomates looking for support and advice. +Youth Camps - We arrange to send youth aged ostomates to camps in Alberta (Camp Horizon) and Nova Scotia (Camp Brigadoon). +General Meetings - Held the first Sunday of each month (except July and August) at Bethune Hall, VG site, QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, NS. + And much more..
