Bulgarian Facility Management Association (BGFMA) is the professional facility management organization of Bulgaria. BGFMA plays vital role in popularizing and enhancing the prestige of the Facility Manager profession in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe and is an active member of EuroFM and IFMA.. BGFMA works closely with central and local governments and has leading role in the development and amendment of laws and regulations, related to the professional facility management. BGFMA works in synergy with the leading universities in Bulgaria and plays central role in the development of bachelor and master programs for real estate and facility management, and provides lecturers and training to the business community also. BGFMA is a successful partner in a number of international and local projects that focus on improving FM qualifications and upgrading FM competences. Mission of BGFMA • to represent, protect and support the professional facility management; • to encourage establishment and implementation of high professional and ethical standards in FM; • to build sustainable facility management network of professionals, who share knowledge and expertise in the integrated management of real estate, processes, people and technologies. Strategic Goals of BGFMA: • Systematic services focused on the professional development and career growth of BGFMA members. • Educate the public and promote facility management importance and roles as profession and sector of the economy. • Maximize BGFMA membership and enhance the reputation and collective influence of the association. • Represent and protect effectively its members’ interests to executive and legislative branches of government, as well as at the NGO sector. • Develop organizational culture based on leading values: creativity, engagement, initiative and personal responsibility. • Establish BGFMA as facility management information and resource center in Southeast Europe.
