Québec’s department of education and higher education (Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur—MEES) created SYNTHÈSE – Pôle Image Québec to meet future challenges in the fields of visual effects and animation, video games, immersive environments, large-scale digital installations, and virtual reality. The organization helps key players in teaching, research and design connect with digital creation businesses in pursuit of a common goal: - Advance knowledge - Provide quality training - Promote artistic, scientific, and technological innovation in all forms - Ensure the vitality of the Québec industry. Orientations and main objectives - Contribute to improving training programs and promoting their value among private companies. - Monitor and inform the SYNTHÈSE ecosystem about occupational transformations in various sectors. - Encourage synergies between researchers and the industry and promote established and developing research initiatives. - Stimulate interest among young people in various programs and careers in sectors targeted by SYNTHÈSE. - Serve as a virtual and physical showcase to enhance the visibility of the SYNTHÈSE ecosystem and allow stakeholders to pool resources, come together, and mobilize.
