Guernsey-Ostergard was established in 1959 by Jim Guernsey, a Navy ship painting foreman and xx Ostergard in Ballard. In 1987, Ron Ostergard took over the business and ran the company till his retirement in 2019. With over 60 years of experience, Guernsey Ostergard is one of Seattle’s premier painting contractors. We have painted many of Seattle’s landmarks such as the ionic Space Needle’s first repaint in the 1960’s, and "the box the space needle came in" the Seattle-First National Bank Building (now Safeco Plaza) which during the 60’s was the largest skyscraper, and the Washington Plaza Hotel to name a few. We specialize in interior and exterior painting along with wallcovering applications for low to mid-rise condominiums, retail, restaurants, and office spaces.
