We are producers, millers, exporters, and importers. We are a community working together to increase our cupping scores, improve conditions on the farm, and have a positive environmental impact. Because we believe in quality. We believe in transparency. We believe in impact. And we believe in coffee, and in the power of producers working together. As a collective of specialty coffee producers, our goal is traceable, high-quality micro lots and other single origin specialty Yemeni coffees. And by cooperating, we are also able to export our coffee direct to you, making the supply chain shorter and access to quality, organic, specialty coffees even easier. Cultivating the land is the producer’s job. Cultivating their quality of life and future? That job belongs to all of us. Our mission is to support the revival of Yemeni coffee production through a focus on quality, community, and sustainability. Our direct trade model is what allows us to do this while also producing transparent, traceable single origin and micro lot coffees for specialty roasters, all while remaining environmentally responsible. How do we do this? We work with local producers to identify current community concerns: water scarcity, infrastructure, education… and we create an action plan to resolve them. We next focus on the coffee and closely examine each stage of production: hand-picking, sorting, processing, drying, storing, packaging, and transporting. We educate producers, devise better systems, and monitor their implementation. We improve every producer’s financial security by sharing the profits, so that they receive above-market rates. This profit is also invested in an action plan for tackling the current community concerns.
