ISLA’s mission: We build community and leadership through educational Spanish language and cultural immersion programs. ISLA is a Latina-led 501 (c)(3) nonprofit based in Chapel Hill, NC offering five programs to open doors, build confidence for Latino youth and reframe bicultural identity and Spanish literacy as assets for future academic and career pursuits. Based in Chapel Hill, ISLA programs serve children and families from six North Carolina counties.
