Amobelge Shipping

www.amobelge.com

Amobelge Shipping has been serving the international shipping community since 1958. Our office is located in the heart of the Port of New York and New Jersey in close proximity to marine terminals, airports, and consulates. We are licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission under Ocean Transportation Intermediary License No. 0878F. As a matter of interest, the name Amobelge (pronounced Amo, as in amorous, and Belge, as in Belgian) was adopted at the time of the 1971 reorganization. It was formerly our cable address and represents the nationalities of the original founders, American and Belgian. The logo or trademark (adopted in 1966) is an artist’s interpretation of the Plimsoll Line or load line. This line is one of various markings on the sides of cargo vessels to indicate the depth to which a vessel may be immersed under certain conditions, depending on time of year, fresh or salt water, type of hull construction, and type of cargo. What sets us apart is our commitment to providing personalized service to the people we work with. Every telephone call is answered personally and cheerfully. Our customers agree that their shipments are handled with kid gloves from inception to completion.
