Alternative Engineering Inc.
www.alternative-engineering.comAlternative Engineering was founded by D. Robert Rodriguez in 1994 to design and test custom machines for the auto industry. We began by designing unique stand-alone factory equipment for automotive stamping plants, and quickly expanded to custom automation. We have since broadened our services to accommodate numerous industries, including distribution centers, powertrain plants, and foundry plants. Our experience in material handling has also helped add strapping and banding integration to our portfolio. Over the past 22 years we have developed, designed, and manufactured hundreds of custom pieces of equipment for Fortune 500 companies around the world. AEI’s strength is in our methodology of creating “alternative solutions”: we prepare efficient and cost-effective solutions that suit our customers’ specific needs, rather than what may have been requested in a boiler plate bid package. Few of our projects are catalogue equipment, and our experienced engineering team can improve and optimize existing designs or create entirely new ones to meet specific requirements. We take pride in our ability to find the ideal solution for your challenges, and we will work with you every step of the way, from initial design and prototyping to turnkey installation. Any project, regardless of its size or complexity, is an opportunity to create a more efficient and higher quality product. Simple projects are no less worthy of attention and innovative ideas than complex ones, and our equipment diversity and experience with multiple industries has made us quick to pioneer new ideas for any challenge. The examples showcased in our portfolio were all designed and manufactured in-house. Each piece of equipment is developed with mass production in mind and will undergo continuous improvement with each repeat order to improve quality, operation, service, maintenance, and cost.
