San Diego World Affairs Council
www.sdwac.orgThe San Diego World Affairs Council is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to educating and engaging San Diegans in global issues, international relations, and cultural understanding. SDWAC is part of the World Affairs Councils of America, the largest international affairs non-profit organization in the United States. Our council serves the downtown and central areas of San Diego. In addition, we have a North County Chapter serving that area and through our combined efforts we serve over three hundred members. The San Diego World Affairs Council shares the vision that has guided the nation’s World Affairs Councils for over half of a century: • To serve as the focal point of the community’s international interests. • To provide a variety of programs and services to individuals, schools, corporations, and organizations. • To support the community’s civic, social, professional, business, cultural, and educational organizations in their international efforts. We promote interest and dialogue throughout the San Diego community in international relations and world affairs. We sponsor events with international themes, host prominent speakers, and facilitate discussions on global issues. We encourage all of our members to follow international politics and to educate themselves on global issues by joining the discussion.
