Founded in 1991 by the Central Sierra Historical Society, The Museum of the Sierra preserves the cultural and natural history of the Sierra Nevada through education and curation of historical artifacts and stories. We are on over 19 acres of property very close to Camp Edison.. Outdoor exhibits include the world's only operation hydro electric power plant, a working steam donkey, train caboose and replica log flume.
