Budget Janitorial Supply originated in 1984 by current owner, Steve Savage. Mr. Savage cut his teeth in the industry while working at West End Mop Company (WEMCO) beginning in 1979. WEMCO manufactured brooms and mops primarily for grocery chains, hardware supplies and manufacturing plants. Due to superior service and aggressive pricing clients asked for more. They needed a low cost provider in sanitary/maintenance supply industry for chemicals. Budget quickly expanded to plastics and paper and soon to become a full line supplier in 1986. Shortly afterwords began working with local cleaning companies. Next advancement was RFP’s and contracts that has allowed Budget to take our price advantage to educational facilities in 1988. Mr. Savage then purchased WEMCO in 1991 and merged the two companies together allowing for more growth and services to existing and future clients. In the early to mid-1990 Budget experienced explosive growth venturing with property management contracts and pa ckaging materials. Due to the size of orders Budget relocated to a new warehouse facility located in Pelham, AL. Moving into a facility tripling in size has a allowed Budget to become more efficient and productive with class A service in today’s market. Recently, due to demand, in 2013 Budget has expanded with a full service department. It allows us to serve our clients in a larger capacity for floor care and small service machines. Today, Budget is known for superior service, quality products and more importantly, the knowledge to assist you in any situation within the Jan/San industry. Our team has over 150 years’ experience combined in the Jan/San industry. We welcome any customer inside our doors no matter how big or how small they may be.
