WHO WE ARE The Centre for First Nations Governance is a non-profit organization that supports the efforts of First Nations who wish to restore self-governance, including jurisdiction over their territories. We support effective, culturally relevant governance that is accountable to citizens, allows First Nations to re-assume control of their economic and social conditions and be in command of their cultural and political future. WHAT WE DO The Centre develops and delivers governance workshops and forums in First Nation communities across Canada. Our focus is on providing long term support to First Nations who are working to get beyond Indian Act administration and restore effective and efficient self-governance in their communities.
