Noteworthy is the work of the Institute as one of the three institutions that initiated the service of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Research and Innovation (Embrapii), which supports innovation in enterprises. Currently, INT is certified as an EMBRAPII Unit to operate in Industrial Chemical Technology, offering important technological support to the productive sector. The Institute is structured into technical areas such as: catalysis and chemical processes; corrosion and degradation; industrial design; energy; assessments and production engineering; testing of materials and products; technological innovation; processing and characterization of materials; and analytical chemistry.
