Our mission is to encourage MegaCitizens to produce short documentaries about key challenges and innovative solutions of Megacities that will open consciousness to make happen changes. [MegaCities-ShortDocs] is an annual international program aimed at making produced, mainly through students and nonprofessional documentary makers, short documentaries about MegaCities. With the promotion of a culture of best practices sharing, through film making, we are organizing an international contest open to anyone having an interest in showing the world what is happening in their megacity through a range of diverse issues such as mobility, security,education, housing and much more. Each year, MegaCitizens from the largest cities of the world will highlight key urban challenges as mobility – energy – health – accommodation – supply – business – security – communication – culture – education. Each year 15 selected Short-Docs will be presented at the annual [MegaCities-ShortDocs] Festivals; in one of the American cities, in one of Asian cities and will always end up in Paris. The selected ShortDocs will be pre-viewed in all the Megacities covered by [MegaCities-ShortDocs], in a local Theatre, where the [local Award] will be delivered to the best local ShortDoc, prior to the Paris Festival, where, the America / EMEA / Asia Pac Awards and the [Students under 26 year old] & the [Professional Jury] Awards will be delivered.
