The Dedalo Minosse International Prize for Commissioning a Building is unique among international awards programs for honouring the client's role in the design process. The prize recognizes the contribution of the client's vision, openness, flexibility, and commitment to good design. After just seventh editions, the Dedalo Minosse International Prize for Commissioning a Building has already become one of the most important architectural awards in the world. Dedalo Minosse is the main award given by the institution, but it is not the only one. There are 4 main awards and other special awards given by the review L’ARCA, and by other Patron Bodies and Sponsors. A special section is devoted to Italian architects and another one to young architects or rather to Clients who commissioned works to under 40 professional architects. Moreover, there is a series of prizes dedicated to the sustainability of a project and innovation, environmental, social and ethical values, correct use of resources, recovering of a building, and Design for All. The prize offers a wide overview of today’ architectural world, taking into account different ways of commissioning and the variety of clients: public, private, firms, institutions, foundations, etc. To each of those is related a specific work, in terms of size and use: infrastructure, urban spaces, working and cultural places, etc.
