Blue Water Scholarship Fund was founded in 2017 by three successful friends in the Maritime industry with a desire to give back to the industry that had been so generous to them over their careers. BWSF is a 501C(3) registered in Texas dedicated to helping the next generation of Maritime professionals enter the industry through scholarships, mentoring, and other assistance to cadets in the license program in one of the five state Maritime Schools. Due to their streamlined structure and extremely low overheads (2-3% annually) Blue Water is uniquely positioned to efficiently deploy traditional scholarships, emergency funding, and other assistance to those cadets facing extraordinary circumstances through no fault of their own.
