Envision Centre for Sight (Pty) Ltd
www.envisionsight.co.zaIt takes a special kind of passion and dedication to turn a dream into reality. Back in 2008, having recently become a Medical Officer in an amazingly effective government Ophthalmology Department at Mankweng in the Limpopo Province, Dr Lourens Coetzee’s dream started to take shape. He envisaged an Ophthalmology practice that encompasses compassion, humanity and empathy. After many years of training, hard work and aspiration the Envision family officially became a reality on 1 December 2015. In 2019, Dr Philip Phatudi joined Envision. He had been a colleague of Dr Lourens Coetzee at Mankweng so was familiar with the intention and ethos of Envision well before it came to be. In 2020, Dr Thariq Bagus also joined the Envision family. Our eye care facilities are equipped with state of-the-art ophthalmic equipment for optimal diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of eye disease. We know that despite astonishing advances in the science of medicine, the interpersonal encounter between patient and physician remains a cornerstone of medical care. Considerable research has explored various aspects of this relationship, including physician and patient communication and what physicians find meaningful in their work. These interpersonal aspects of healing are called the art of medicine and drive our passion for the healing arts. We are a young company with big ideas and aspirations and only time can help us live up to our dreams. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." Helen Keller
