www.nnssph.orgNigerian Navy Secondary School, Port Harcourt (NNSSPH) is the third of the seven welfare Secondary Schools owned and run by the Nigerian Navy (NN). The other six are situated at Ojo – Lagos State, Abeokuta – Ogun state, Calabar – Cross River State, Ogbomosho – Ogun State, Imeri – Ondo State and Okura – Kogi State respectively. The school is located at the end of Harold Wilson Drive in Borokiri, Port Harcourt, and the capital of River State, Nigeria. The school was statutorily established in April 1994, and formally commissioned on Tuesday 09 March 1995 by the then Chief of Naval Staff REAR ADMIRAL OKHAI MIKE AKHIGBE as a fully boarding and comprehensive co-educational secondary school. At inception the school shared facilities with the NNS-AKASO Training base then situated on the school site, but two years later, on 16 November 1996, the NNS-AKASO Training school was relocated by the Naval Headquarters and ceded the entire former NNS-AKASO Base and all the facilities and infrastructures thereof to the Secondary School for use as her permanent site. Hence the school inherited not only ample facilities, infrastructures and land space, but has developed a good number of new ones adequate enough for effective learning, game spots and utilities.
