When we first came up with the bright idea for a smart and savvy strategic marketing company, we put together a detailed outline of who and what we wanted to be — then, we solicited the sage advice of a few well-respected business gurus. “I like the way you think outside the box,” said one such bigwig at the end of our presentation. To which we replied: “There’s a box?” And that, boys and girls, is precisely who we are: A team of fearless and feisty marketing brainiacs for whom boxes do not exist. What does exist? For us, what exists is the need to think big, work hard, play nice and have fun… to pay attention to the ever-changing world of digital marketing, as well as the still vital avenues of traditional media…to make connections – the kinds of experiences that bring clients together with their target markets. Of course, we’re not new to the dance. 2020 Media is the offspring of two media outlets: Ledger Publications, a 90-year-old New England-based publishing company that boasts a list of highly regarded local newspapers and magazines; and WH Media/West Hartford Magazine, a 30-year-old company that publishes the popular West Hartford Magazine, and produces a slew of trendy local marketing events. The two companies have teamed up to add a digital component to their mix of offerings and make beautiful music together. The result: 2020 Media.
