E & L Cemetery Services LLC., was founded in 2014 by Edward “Eddie” Curtis and Lindsay Stevenson. Together they filled a need for installation of small scale family memorials up to large private estate and civic projects. Eddie started in the memorial industry at the age of nineteen with one of the most progressive monument firms in Elberton, Georgia. Working for an organization that was on the forefront of technology with the very first large rotary diamond saw from Germany and the first automatic polishing bed machine from France. Eddie has devoted his career to the advancement of industrial processes through innovation. During the thirty-four years in Elberton, Eddie was fortunate to also be associated with other industrial firms that utilized his skills in plant management, equipment design, process improvement and quality control. Having traveled to more than thirty different countries assisting and working alongside some of the world’s largest engineering and construction firms, those skills continue to grow and the desire to be a business owner became a reality with the formation of E & L. Many of the years spent traveling abroad nurtured key supplier relationships in both China and India, which fulfill the competitive advantages offered from those regions for all facets of memorial production and supply. Likewise, Lindsay has many years in the memorial industry. Starting in his family’s fourth generation monument company based in northeast Ohio at the age of thirteen. During his 20 years in the family business, he held several positions and gained valuable industry experience. Starting as hired summer help, cleaning finished monuments, assisting in installations and sandblasting, he ended his chapter with the family business as Vice President in 2008, at which point he joined the team of one of the largest wholesale granite suppliers in the United States until both Eddie and Lindsay decided to leave their regular jobs to pursue E&L and Columbus Memorials full time. Since E & L’s inception 3 years ago, Eddie and Lindsay have enjoyed taking part in several larger scale projects throughout the country. In addition to installation, they also offer restoration and national retail sales through E & L’s sister company, Columbus Memorials LLC. Eddie and Lindsay are fortunate to have Kyle Anderson as national sales manager of Columbus Memorials. Kyle also brings several years of retail monument sales and management experience with him from his home state of Indiana where his company was based before relocating to Columbus, Ohio. In addition to previously owning his own retails store, Kyle served as a Volunteer Firefighter. He was instrumental in the building of Logansport Firehouse in Logansport, Indiana. He is an invaluable part of their business and the company would not be where they are today without him. Both companies are fully licensed and insured.
