Sydney Youth Orchestras is widely acknowledged as NSW's premier orchestral training organisation, comprising 13 ensembles of 550+ young musicians aged 6 to 25. As a strong community organisation, SYO nurtures and develops Australia’s musicians of the future, and makes a real difference to the lives of our young musicians and the people we reach within the community. Our strength lies in the delivery of a high quality and comprehensive orchestral training program with the aim of presenting a range of accessible, interactive and engaging performances throughout the year. We perform regularly for the public in Sydney’s best venues as well as in major community events such as Carols in the Domain, Toddlers’ Proms and outreach programs including concerts and workshops in regional NSW. We also regularly perform at corporate events.
