Connective
www.connectivetx.orgConnective is the hub for disaster preparedness and recovery in the Texas Gulf Coast Region. Working with our partners, we provide coordinated recovery for communities in need. We do so through human-centered intake and application processes, technology coordination tools, and putting data in the hands of our partners and communities. In an era with more frequent, higher intensity disasters, it is more important than ever that recovery be accessible, coordinated, and human-centered. We refuse to accept mediocrity in disaster response, and we are obsessed with improving our systems and those of our partners to ensure that the most vulnerable people affected by a disaster are to navigate recovery resources. Between disasters and in partnership with government and other non-profits, we aspire to transform social services to become more accessible, customer-friendly, and data-driven. We got our start in 2018 assisting low-to-moderate income seekers of home repair services in the Houston-Galveston region affected by Hurricane Harvey. We have since expanded to meet the needs of our community through Tropical Storm Imelda, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2021 Texas Winter Storm. We have served over 200,000 Houston-area residents through home repair, housing counseling, financial assistance, temporary housing, and rental assistance. During the pandemic, we have enabled cutting edge COVID relief programs across Texas by providing end-to-end technology infrastructure for programs that have distributed over $180 Million in assistance.
