Sing United is a community singing group of more than 140 singers based in Newcastle upon Tyne. You might think we look like a community choir. We think we're a community. We sing music with meaning. But not only do we sing stories of people, communities, and messages, our Sing United Supports initiative raises money for charities that are connected to the stories we tell. We have projects with local school children to encourage them to get involved with music, and wherever possible we perform in places that don't normally have live music and community spaces. We call them "non-venue venues"! THIS is community singing.
