Bridges Insurance Brokers was established in 1972 by David Bridges, who saw a business opportunity to open an insurance brokerage in Thanet, after working with the Pharos group of companies. It was established in the then ‘business district’ of Cliftonville, and it served the district with all types of insurance, whether individuals or businesses in Thanet. In 1989, it broke away from the Pharos group and changed its name to Bridges Insurance Brokers, and continued as a local insurance broker, offering insurance to individuals and businesses in Thanet and surrounding areas. David’s son, Greg, is now the Managing Director of Bridges Insurance Brokers. And in 2016, the company moved premises from a high-street office and on to the Euro Kent Business Park. It is now predominantly a commercial insurance broker and specialises in Property, Church and Charity Insurance throughout the UK as well as continuing to serve businesses and individuals in Thanet and across Kent.
