The Walla Walla Alliance for the Homeless is a 501c3 based in Walla Walla, WA. It oversees the Sleep Center Emergency Shelter in Walla Walla in addition to Exit Homelessness. The Sleep Center is unique in being a low barrier shelter that allows pets, couples, and people struggling with various forms of substance abuse and mental health problems. On an average night we shelter from 40 to 50 people. In 2021 we provided advocacy, support, food, showers and more than 16,500 nights of shelter to individuals in the Walla Walla Valley. Exit Homelessness serves to provide Peer Support services to anyone struggling with homelessness or trying to avoid it. Over the last two years we have aided in helping more than 85 people move on from the Sleep Center and other precarious living situations. In addition to this we assist people with job placement, documentation/identification, and connecting to many other benefits and services available.
