PLAT ASIA was set up in Beijing in 2010 with name of PLaT Architects, made up of a partnership of experienced architects from China, Japan and Korea. The diversity of the partnership is reflected in the international educational backgrounds, various design practices, and distinct construction experience of team members. Based on common ideals and values, PLAT ASIA's approach to design starts with research and study on China’s contemporary situation and develops with strong capability of practice and the spirit of creation, aiming at building up a China-based international PLaTform in the realm of architecture. PLAT ASIA produces designs and studies mainly in the fields of architecture and urbanism. Realized projects include cultural and government buildings, museums, pavilions and residences. Some of the projects are already completed or currently on site.
