Our founder, Heimo Roselli, grew up in rural Finland with his family on a farm. And with fishing, hunting and carpentry as important aspects of daily life – Heimo came to hate bad knives.⁠ ⁠ So he started making his own, and after a few years he really got the hang of the craft. Heimo became obsessed by the process, and spent the following decades searching, studying and experimenting – becoming a master metallurgist, an expert in producing steel of the highest possible quality.⁠ 
Each Roselli is created with the highest attention to detail and an absolute focus on quality. No shortcuts are taken – we make every singel knife and axe by hand, from fantastic local natural materials, using old blacksmithing techniques, in one local workshop in Harmoinen Finland. Our products are made from the finest natural materials and raw materials that follow the highest ethical standards. Ultra high carbon steel, Finnish curly birch and Finnish natural tanned leather form the basis of all our products. Our locally produced, organic and ethical leather comes from free animals and has been vegetable tanned where only organic material is used instead of destructive chemicals. Crafted, sharpened and perfected by hand in our factory Harmoinen Finland ensures the highest quality and product durability, which means many years of product enjoyment and reduced future consumption – One Knife For Life since 1976.
