The lab was established in January 2018 and is directed by its founder, Andrew Shaver, and is engaged in research projects with affiliated researchers from a variety of academic institutions. The lab has involved the participation of 157 undergraduate and graduate students and postgraduates from Arizona State University; Dartmouth College; Princeton University; the University of California campuses of Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barabara, and Santa Cruz; the University of Michigan-Flint; and the University of Utah.
