Catalyst is a principled methodology for needs identification and opportunity development, and an organizational model that fosters a vibrant multi-stakeholder community. The Catalyst mission is to increase the potential impact of biomedical research and improve the likelihood that newly developed solutions will address unmet health care needs. Catalyst Europe is the consortium that deploys the Catalyst framework in Europe. The consortium is composed of EIT Health, Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, University of Debrecen, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Fundación Mvision, GE Healthcare, Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Health Venture Lab, Medical Valley, University of Luxembourg, SERMAS, and Uniklinikum Erlangen.
