Yellow Card Centre West Midlands
www.yccwm.org.ukYellow Card Centre West Midlands is one of the regional centres of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Our centre is based within City Hospital, Birmingham. Yellow Card is a report that an adverse drug reaction (or side effect to a medicine) has been suspected. This reporting is one of the primary ways of discovering new adverse drug reactions to medicines and herbal products. This information is analysed by the MHRA to make medicines safer. Yellow Cards can be reported via the Yellow Card website, through the Yellow Card app and paper forms are also accepted. We are responsible for education and research concerned with Yellow Card reporting. If you have any research ideas and would like to collaborate, please contact us. Our team lecture throughout the region on adverse drug reactions to doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. We are also happy to talk to patient groups. If you would like to arrange a talk on adverse drug reactions and the Yellow Card scheme please contact us. We are also on twitter @YellowCardWM. The Yellow Card Centre West Midlands is proud to be supported by the MHRA and the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network.
