Our mission at the Urban Farming Organisation, is to grow healthy food that is good for the environment. We see this as sustainable agriculture focused on the environment, which is economically viable, and in alignment with our social responsibilities. We believe the key to this is forging strong partnerships with you, the community, through open and honest relationships built on trust. To us, healthy food means chemical free crops. It means implementing farming practices conducive to the ecological cycles, thus reducing the impact we are having on the environment. To enable a food system that meets the needs of both people and nature, we must decrease the environmental impacts of food production through more efficient use of inputs, decreasing waste, reducing associated Green House Gas emissions and establishing local solutions. We are intent on joining the next generation of urban farms and future sustainable cities, to join the fight against Climate Change which is here and now. All that we do in this very moment impacts the environment of the future…and the future of the environment.
