Roundhay Music is a not-for-profit organisation offering a full bespoke tuition service for the community. It is available to people of any age, or standard. All western instruments are taught: Recorder; Fife; Piccolo; Flute; Oboe; Clarinet; Saxophone; Bassoon; French Horn; Cornet; Trumpet: Tenor Horn; Euphonium; Trombone; Tuba; Violin; Viola; Cello; Double Bass; Orchestral Harp; Celtic Harp; Chromatic Harmonica; Blues Harmonica; Mandolin; Ukelele; Banjo; Classical Guitar; Electric Guitar; Accordion; Piano; Keyboard; Electric Organ; Church Organ; Singing is taught in any style. We cover practical and theory examinations, including music diplomas, GCSE, AS and A level, or cater for students who just want to learn for enjoyment. Students are encouraged to join our chamber groups and these are specially organised to fit their standard. Tuition is organised on an individual basis and can be taken in their own homes, teacher's homes or other suitable venues at the convenience of the pupil and tutor alike. Regular student concert days are arranged every term in order to facilitate training in performance for those that wish to participate. These are free to Roundhay Music students. In addition to individual tuition, Roundhay Music offers a consultation service and supplies music staff to schools, colleges and universities. Tutors are carefully selected from interview and audition, as highly qualified teachers and professional players and specialise in their primary instrument. All tutors have current Disclosure and Barring Service certificates.
